i hate to see these photos waste away on my hard drive… i took them a year ago, in port arthur, after the most recent hurricane swept through… the town, though looking deserted, was NOT deserted, as i came to find out after shooting one of the houses. a man drove up and parked across the street and just got out… and watched me… nonchalantly. after a few captures, i, also nonchalantly, got in my car and drove out of town…
the stores were closed, the windows barred, some of the glass broken out. functioning… just not at a high level.
Iknow that most people hate the rain. And after months and months, I too, would dislike another gray day. But with the exception of having to deal with the slight chill, I happen to LOVE the rain. Its beautiful, its cuddly, it makes you appreciate having 4 walls and a roof, and it’s the best excuse to hole up in your house and wrap up in blankets. Me? I have a downy blanket wrapped around me like a skirt. Yes I have a heater, but it’s just cozier this way.
just in case you’re bored with my professional stuff, here are some fun shots…
i smiled so hard today that i gave myself a headache. The Clutts Agency is to thank for the talent, both stylist Rebecca Hargreaves and the stars of this shoot. Food prepared by food stylist Kristine Ackerman. Amazing crew, amazing kids, amazing food. 600 captures later… Check out some of the unedited pics! Hero foods to follow after more extensive editing :)
I wanted to share some things I shot last week with food stylist Kristine Ackerman. I love shooting with her because not only is everything edible (and i made sure of that), but there’s just so much of it. There are cheeses and fruits and meats all over every kitchen surface, and you’d think that an exotic 4 star restaurant just exploded into her house. What a treat. So here are a few of the pics…
and this concludes today’s photo expose on amazing foods prepared by Kristine Ackerman, of Dallas, TX.
